It’s been 3 decades to this guy in the picture grinning like world is his oyster.
Of since then going to school, finding real education is actually in pursuing your own curiosity, travelling the length & breadth of this country, learning that people are inherently good, stumbling upon the greatest love of my life, pursuing the arts, failing, getting up, finding lifelong friendships, reading some great authors, finding stage, going back to work, celebrating India winning the WC on the streets, feeling unsure, embracing television, finding sweet success, working non stop, spending over 2500 days on a set already (would you believe it), burning out, winning over 3 dozen Best Actor awards (what!!!), performing at Times Square, missing close friends weddings/birthdays, finding joy between action & cut, missing spending time with my ex gf and now wife, finding homes in the hearts of every desi all over the world, being lonely, playing some of the most iconic characters in the last decade on TV, finding the pandemic, questioning the true purpose of life, finding a new rhythm to life, mindful and purpose driven mostly, on days still being frivolous (Cause hey one life) and then getting a chance to play the GREATEST ROLE OF MY LIFE… Of being a father to that kid (When you swipe LEFT)
Sometimes life feels a bit of a blur…the good kinds… In the haziness of this glorious personal coming of age story, sometimes I feel like looking back at this kid grinning like the world is his oyster and saying, #ThankYouForComing .. and for continuing ❤️

There is something so wonderful and wholesome about partners who have seen each other grow up.. and helped each other stay children too ☺️
When I first found out that @jank_ee and @nakuulmehta have been together since they were teenagers just like @daisy_clicks and I have (for 18+ years!), it felt so beautiful and reassuring to know. Just like Nakuul spoke in this reel, in in my own relationship, Daisy earned more than me for the first few (long) years of my career, and I’d joke how she was the breadwinner of the family and I was the bread eater! But if it weren’t for her giving me the space to find my own path (that I hope I gave her too), I don’t think I’d ever have reached here. And I’m so so glad to see what we have mirrored in what Jankee and Nakuul have, and I can speak for Nakuul too when I say, we know every day how lucky we are to have it 🤗
So this video is dedicated to the women who make us the men we are.. with whom we learn every day what it is to have an equal relationship, together ❤️

Nakuul, yaar ❤️. This is one of those moments of the show that made me (@tanejamainhoon) tear up no matter how many times I saw it on edits. Not only because of Nakuul’s honesty and vulnerability, because I have faced this exact thing myself.
It was the hardest for me to tell my male friends that I was going through something because I didn’t know who would understand, or who would give me the space to just.. share. Once I overcame my own fears around this in therapy, Nakuul became one of the few people I shared with. Because of the soul he has, and the generosity he has, and the fact that he does not judge me or anyone else. And I’m so grateful that he used the show (and our friendship) to express himself too. I love you, Nakuul 🤗

Sufi has always been a Mumma’s boy but being his primary caregiver can at times get hard and challenging. As Sufi has been growing up, my single main wish was for him to develop a strong, unbreakable bond with his Dadda. I wanted Sufi to realise that even when I wasn’t around, Dadda could take excellent care of him and at the same time, I wanted Nakuul to experience the joy of single-handedly doing everything for our baby.
In the past few weeks, I have witnessed this transformation happen in front of my eyes. Ever since Nakuul wrapped up his television show, he’s been making every effort to be there for Sufi, from morning till night— whether it’s brushing, bathing, feeding, school pickups, nap times, or trips to the park. You name it, he’s done it!
My proudest moment was when I interrupted their playtime in his room last week, and Sufi told me, ‘Mumma, GO.’ At first, it surprised me, but then I realized that Sufi now feels so secure and comfortable with Dadda that my absence doesn’t faze him. His Dadda has become his rock!
I think I’m finally ready for that long, solo vacation I’ve been dreaming of 😍😍

What a whirlwind experience it was, getting a front-row seat to witness this dynamo in action! 📺✨ When I reached out to Nakuul to join him on set and capture some BTS and candid shots, I had no clue I’d be documenting the grand finale of this mega-popular serial. Nakuul warned me it was going to be a day of pure madness, and he wasn’t kidding! But you know what they say, in chaos, there’s beauty.
Watching the cast and crew pull off scene after scene with clockwork precision was nothing short of mesmerizing and in between all the madness, I managed to capture some seriously charming candid shots of Nakuul. Caught him in the act of gearing up for his “zone” – that elusive state we all chase! It was a masterclass in focus, and it definitely rubbed off on me! 📸✨
