My favorite moments in August 2023. Not shown here was a few days of my first time with Covid alone in a hotel near my house so I wouldn’t ruin the family vacation. Didn’t take any pictures then. Was so happy to finally test negative and join them for the most epic birthday trip for Mr. Sexy at Sixty.
Last night brought me back. Danced and sang off all my worries. Love how music is therapeutic. @gwenstefani mentioned how relevant ‘Just a Girl’ is today, more so than when we were girls. I still can’t believe how we currently live in a country where girls and women have less rights than we did then. How some people care more about guns than the fact that they are our children’s number one killer. We put oil profits over our planet. Education and educators are under valued and politicized. Minority communities and individuals are under attack by our government and extremists. AI is nuisance that may very well soon be a much bigger problem if governments don’t take action immediately. Aaaand now all my worries are back. But for a brief moment @gwenstefani and @beachlifefestival lifted it all up. Thank you 🙏🏼 #womensrightsarehumanrights #profitsoverpeople

When all you wanna do is make the country a safer and better place for all of us and future generations, and you receive all kinds of negative comments for it, it can make you want to stay silent.
