I got a bit excited about Euroa’s newest asset, this giant magpie – or should I say – the Big Magpie! As a touring musician we see all manner of tourist trap big things™️ and they are ohhhh so mostly woeful. Funky mouldy battered and bruised. Misshapen and oft not instantly recognisable as the thing they apparently are! (Peach, Guitar, Koala, I’m looking at you. Banana, Prawn, you’ll keep..)
But LOOK at this glorious maggie! He/She is shining proud! Okay. That’s enough civic revelry for me for one day. Awesome gig last night by the way. GIGS!! This weekend I’ve got two of ‘em. FRIDAY NIGHT 💥 I’m heading up the Hume! Playing at @northern_republic_euroa for their 150th birthday soirée. It’s going to be a lush affair w the best wines, food and all the hospitality this amazing venue is famous for! It’s also the last event under the ownership of Adam & Danielle, who have made the beautiful historic Euroa Mill sing and bloom over the last 5 years. 🥲 I’m gonna send them off in style! I HIGHLY recommend you get a last minute ticket to this if you’re in the area, there’s just a few left! 💥

Next Friday!!! I’m zipping up to my home lands to play a show at the Euroa’s finest venue – @northern_republic_euroa which is the latest (wonderful) iteration of one of the most special and stored buildings in town – The Mill! I’ve been going here with my fam and friends since I was a little gal. I’ve always been excited by this space and would get swept up in it’s small town romance. Art shows, concerts, talks, dances, feasts and festivals have all had their time to shine here, and now it’s a robust and pumping restaurant and music venue (well that ticks off my fave two things in the world!!! Oh, plus wine. List of good wine!) So I’m absolutely thrilled to be the artist playing to celebrate its 150th birthday!! Crazy. And it’s going from strength to strength.
