Gemma Atkinson Instagram – I’m 8 weeks PP tomorrow and yesterday I officially started back in the gym! I’m doing the @hatch_athletic 12 week PP program so it’s good to have some structure and routine (albeit still surrounded by kids or dogs as you can see) 😂 the above is snippets from both yesterday and today. Todays the one with the baggy pants and big knickers as Aunt flow arrived again this morn. My first one since being pregnant. Another sign that things are starting to return to normal 😃
I’ve no shame in saying I found these (for me) usually simple exercises a challenge. And it’s expected! My second pregnancy & 2nd C section have taken its toll on me physically, but mentally I’m feeling fantastic and strong and motivated! I had a 6cm (now 5cm) gap from diastasis recti and you can see my tummy is slightly coning in certain movements meaning I need to really focus on engagement on my abdominals during the exercise. I had no issues with this after Mia, but this time my tummy feels weaker. Again though, it’s expected so I’m going with it. I have one more gym sesh this week, 3 cardio days which will be my stairmaster or bike and a rest day. It’ll be harder to juggle with two children, school runs, dog walks & Thiago BUT harder doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I take inspiration from all the mums juggling work, kids, schools etc… and I always remind myself, some people have 3 kids and 3 dogs so that would be harder 🤣 I love a challenge though, especially against myself so bring it on! 💪🏼😎 | Posted on 10/Sep/2023 19:22:49
