Gray Benko Instagram – Some bits and pieces that defined my Summer:
1. This one was hard. I lost my sweet Lexx. He held on strong and was my faithful friend and companion for 21 years. I never thought he would be ready to go but on this day I walked in and found him and knew he was ready. My heart still hasn’t healed and I still have to fight the instinct to look for him around every corner.
2. I found myself feeling more grateful than ever for this amazing family of mine. To put my sister’s height into perspective, I am 5’9”.
3. Tried to spend as much time as I could with these two, when they weren’t off at camp, or sleeping at friend’s houses, or I wasn’t working. Life gets so much more hectic as your kids get older. It’s true what they say.
4. Shopping trips with my number one girl.
5. Found myself retreating a lot to the fresh air and comfort my backyard when I needed to reset my emotions and center myself. Lying on my back in my swing, looking up at the live oaks and listening to the birds, might be my new favorite past time.
6. Turned 42 and celebrated with some of my nearest and dearest.
7. Worked way too hard but got better at multitasking.
8. Retreated to the Tea Farm with @42pressed when my soul needed a recharge.
9. Went on a mother/daughter girl trip and it was everything.
10. Dressed in pink and went to the opening night of the Barbie movie, like the rest of the planet. Cried twice. | Posted on 13/Sep/2023 06:23:36
