I am so grateful I was allowed to watch Pee-wee when I was little, and then to work with him as an adult.
He was hilarious, his real speaking voice was so sexy and fabulous, he would always check on me and leave me the most ridiculously inappropriate & beautiful voicemails for my birthday, he made you feel like you were the only person in the world and shared and thanked people so often and graciously.
I truly believe he allowed so many people, young, and old, to be exactly who they are, and ignite so much of our own imaginations. Our world is truly Technicolor, because of his artistry and imagination.
I am so grateful to have met, and worked with the most amazing icons, and the additional newer cast members when we did the revival of his stage show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

He loved his fans, his friends, so deeply, always asked about my mom, my dogs and told me I could call him anytime about anything.
Bless his heart, he would make a phone call to anybody to cheer them up and I’m borrowing his laugh right now to soothe my soul.

I was in full, crazy wardrobe, and I came twirling into the room, and he just laughed and said, “Hello Miss Yvonne’s understudy! You look beautiful today I will be reading with you“ got up, hugged me laughed told me I was beautiful and funny, and he wished me all the best in case I didn’t get cast. What a Mench.
