( Full film in bio ) “May this film, written from a flash vision, operate as a personal symbolic purge of inner demons. Kerfuffle is a creative exploration in the integration of the shadow self. Developing an understanding of this inner “darkness” is different for everyone. It can be disturbing, twisted, frustrating, embarrassing, and foul. When the shadow goes unchecked, or is pushed down, repressed, it starts to flex. I developed a pattern with mine—a naïve, curious indulgence. It sucked me in. Fears. Urges. Temptations. It ballooned. Relentless. My radiance, my colors, my truth. Control.
I’ve experienced a growing disconnection from my higher self for the past few years. I’ve been self-centered, escapist, distant, jealous, possessive, commanding and rude. It took me a long time to realize these were unconscious responses to deep, untreated wounds. Hurt people hurt other people. Healing takes time.
May this film provide a visual aid to those who need it. Triggers, patterns and reactions are part of the human process. We’re going through this existence together in our own unique ways.
