🧠 I thought it was all in my head 🧠
I’ve contended with a sense of overwhelm and anxiety most of the my life. I did positive affirmations and visualizations and meditation for years. All valuable, but excluded my body.
Neuroscience developments in the past 10 years have finally validated what i always felt. It’s NOT just in my head.
It’s in my body too.
Amygdala hijack is real, and though it seemingly takes place in brain, the body’s stimuli activates the response. It is a circular loop, brain regulates body as body regulates brain.
Somatic practices such as yoga and qigong, or simple shaking practices and eye movement processes can rewrite less than optimal conditioning.
The brain and body are elastic and can be retrained.

Often people don’t see my heart. They feel it, but they confuse the attraction and complicate it with a projection of desire
They’ll say, “oh your eyes are so pretty”
Meaning, “I’m responding to an aesthetic pleasure that your symmetry and angles present for me”
But what they really mean, even when they don’t know it themselves is
“Your eyes are beautiful because there’s a radiance there. There’s a quality of purity and power that comes from knowing your own capacity for both outrage and tender abiding”
This clarity of knowing comes from continually pointing that accusing, outwardly extending finger and pivoting it back towards oneself
But what if one does that to a fault?
What if our rotational access was set in a faulty factory setting by those who benefited in their own outward blame
