Some of you have talked about supportive body work built around your main #AFitterFunnerMe exercise.
On my end I do some light weight work, yoga, and core focused work. Not every day, but peppered throughout the past 3 weeks.
Core work is particularly important. Everything stems from there. Core weakness can effect stamina, cause injury, and it can be the root cause of weakness elsewhere in the body.

It’s Labour Day here, which has me reflecting on the wonderful people who worked so hard to create foundations of protection and fair compensation for work done in my industry… people like #MaryPickford actress, producer, studio owner/exec & founder of the Motion Picture Relief Fund.
It is outrageous that corporations today are slithering through loopholes and weak legalities to try to erode those protections laid in by our film founders, spitting on a long history.
I hope for all of my colleagues that we can look back on these days and know it was all worth it in the end…

We may need to pull out all the recovery tools to keep this party train running. 🛠️⛏️🔧🔨⚒️🪛🧰
Of course there are the usual suspects: rest days, stretching, liquids…
I’ve just recommitted to doing epsom salt baths. 🛀🏻 Feels delish. I hear you can get great benefit from epsom salt foot soaks 🦶🏼as well in case a bathtub is not easy access.
How about you folks? Any tools you’re trying during #AFitterFunnerMe ? Recovery’s crazy important. If you can, give it a chance & see how you feel.

It’s starting to feel less like a chore & more like a must. #LurvingIt
Above is a book I read ages ago. Feels like a relevant recommendation. It talks about the unbelievable potential of the human body. You’ll be astonished at some of the studies referenced. But more importantly, it may inspire you to never settle for the “unfortunately…” or “sadly…” preface. You’re all amazing! Maybe more amazing than you know… definitely more miraculous than we acknowledge.
