While trying to find a photo of the gorgeous @claireholt and I, I stumbled across this photo and couldn’t resist throwing it up, my Aussie OG LA crew (and a couple of our honourary Aussies @missbrookestone @murisaharba 😉) this was at my baby shower TEN years ago when I was preggy with my son Bodhi. I had this beautiful support group and being the first of the lot to have babies I had so many from the sisterhood to call on during those early days. I can really grasp now how very lucky I was to have them all holding my hand through new motherhood.
This week on @themotherdazepodcast @claireholt talks candidly about her postpartum wobbles, her challenging relationship with nursing, pregnancy loss and subsequent anxiety when pregnant with her rainbow baby, she also talks all about being pregnant again with her third baby, the work/life balance and how much she loves her favourite role of all, being a mum. Honestly I didn’t think I could be more impressed by her but after this interview my admiration for her has gone next level. Claire is SO candid, vulnerable and really values keeping things open and real, she talks all about her viral motherhood shares and why it’s so meaningful to her to show all the sides of her life. Not only is she a knock out actress, she’s one of the funniest people I know, shes a wonderful mama of soon to be three and she’s got all sorts of hidden talents like writing and playing piano! Down by the sea 🌊✨ spent a dreamy week seaside celebrating @markwebber for fathers Day and for scoring an amazing gig for @southaustralia (yoohooo go babe!) We stayed in the heavenly @martinhouse_portwillunga opposite the most gorgeous reserve and a few minutes walk in the grass to the magnificent Pt Willunga beach where our kids played for hours. We think this is perhaps our favourite spot in SA and asked the owner of the home we stayed in to let us know if she EVER wants to sell haha! It truly is the most beautiful home with 4 bedrooms, a spacious, modern layout with tons of toys for the kids, books, beach amenities, divine indoor plant life and the most drop dead gorgeous aesthetic and architecture, we loved the design and all the beautiful rustic, boho chic touches to the home (even spotted our favourite @cultiver_goods sprinkled throughout!) so close to the amazing wineries in McLaren Vale (like our forever fav @downtherabbitholewines) and we were living just round the corner from the best chai in town @goodness_coffeeco. Next time you want a beach vacay please reach out to Alex from @martinhouse_portwillunga it’s the perfect getaway home, cannot WAIT to be back (or buy it off you Alex 😂😂)
Another week another tour of the crème de la crème of Adelaide. Had a three day staycation at the hippest hotel in Rads, the @vibeadelaide in the heart of the city! great food, great service, spacious rooms (an adjoining rm fit me, @markwebber, bro bro @howdoyousayguillermo, my ma and 4 kids in perfectly) it’s namesake is very fitting, high #vibes only. Then off to the launch of @sculpt.adelaide, the chicest skincare facility in all the land, had some lovely 🥂 and the most sensational food from Palmer family favourite @chefjustinjames of @restaurantbotanic_adl, not bad for a Wednesday afternoon right before school pick up. Thanks for the last minute dress @the.significant.other and for the lols @pippawanganeen & @hayleylentzbrows ✨⚡️✌🏼💋
So many wonderful memories made at this beautiful home away from home ✨ We’ve had the most delightful 10 day stay @oasisinadelaide. This home is special to us because we spent two years hanging out with @christianeduigan & @jamesduigan when they lived there. When we heard it was on air bnb we thought it was the perfect place to have a staycation!
Never stayed in a place with a better location in Adelaide, so much so that we’ve even almost been convinced to leave hills life for the city whaaat?! 5 mins bike ride to the city (10 mins walk), 15 mins walk from Norwood parade, Burnside village round the corner and across the street is the cutest Corner cafe with the best smashed Avo and daily oat chai’s and Mum could even walk round the corner to church on a Sunday. So perfect! With 4 spacious bedrooms, beautiful living area, open kitchen, a gorgeous pool and stocked with every amenity you could ever possibly need (including toys and boys for your kids!) we’ve enjoyed this home like it was our own and opened it up to our friends and family for Prairies 2nd party. Thanks so much for hosting us Cat, we cannot wait to be back!
