September 18, 2023 was a long time coming…but man was it worth the wait. . It was a special feeling in Barbara Frum Atrium today. Everyone came together. All the television networks shared their talent, simultaneously aired the draft so all Canadians could watch, and knew that today was a MASSIVE day in women’s hockey (and sport) history and did it up to the nines. . I felt a lot of love in that room, I wanted to hug everyone. I couldn’t stop smiling and haven’t stopped since I woke up this morning. . What a great freaking day. I’m crying writing this (while smiling). This is just the best. I don’t have the words, I just have all the feelings right now. . Shout out to everyone who made it happen, @jaynahefford I’m looking at you ♥️ The players who stayed committed, THANK YOU . Can’t forget my girl @alicia.nikole thanks for stepping up and doing my makeup along with many others at the draft.
