DARYL GURNEY 0️⃣-2️⃣ Luke Humphries
Daryl suffers defeat in Leicester.
A 76 finish was the highlight of set one for Daryl, but he missed two darts to save the set as Humphries led.
Gurney took out 74 to open set two, and it went to a final leg, where Humphries prevailed with Daryl sitting on 32.

ROUND ONE

Superchin up and running!
Finishes of 64 and 127 helped Daryl forge a 4-2 lead, and an 11-darter finished on 76 extended that advantage, before his trusty double 18 sealed the win.
A 95.09 average, and Ross Smith awaits in round two.

The nine-dart hero averages an astonishing 117.12 in a sublime display!
Legs in 13, 11, 15, 12, 13 and 13 legs seal a crushing win for Superchin, and he plays Ryan Searle in round three.

Felt good yesterday, and I should have put Joe away at 3-0 up, but that’s the sport, and I’ll go again today!

Well yesterday was definitely something!
Absolutely over the moon with my nine-darter, and to then hit my highest PDC average against Ian was so pleasing.
Disappointed to lose out to Ryan, but my game is in a good place, and we go again today.

Daryl comes up against an inspired Smith in Hildesheim.
Smith averaged 102.21 as he established a 5-2 lead, and although Gurney averaged 97.32 during the contest, it was ‘Smudger’ that made the last 16.

NINE DART DARYL!!!
In a match where he never had the lead until the final leg, Daryl nails a nine dart finish in the last leg to make round two!!
A 97.58 average for Superchin.

Sadly, Daryl’s charge comes to an end.

A 106.74 average, and finishes of 81, 116, 68 and 78 book a round two place, where Superchin will play Dom Taylor or Simon Whitlock.

Daryl misses out today, as the non-Tour Card holder takes the win.
It’s a 94.91 average in defeat for Superchin, and he moves on to the European Championship in Dortmund next weekend.
It’s the first of four Pro Tour events in Barnsley for me today.
