David Bowie Instagram – STAGE ALBUM IS 45 TODAY

“The boy in the bright blue jacket, jumped up on the stage” *

STAGE, the recorded document of the ISOLAR 2 tour, or, as it was known at the time: The 1978 World Tour, was finally released on this day in 1978 (29th September), following what must have been the longest advertising campaign for any Bowie album.

There have been various iterations of STAGE since its original release, with ever expanding versions being issued in 1991, 2005 and then again in 2017.
