There’s nothing wrong with being hungry for love but if your hunger turns into desperation for love you can find yourself being manipulated.
Here are two tips to avoid manipulation while dating:
1. Don’t buy into the false idea that you need a relationship to be whole, peaceful, or healthy. Find peace, contentment, and love within right now.
2. Don’t let anyone other than you be your sole provider of love. You become the #1 provider for all the things you look for in love or in other people.
P.S. How do you know you’re being manipulated? When you consistently find yourself giving or doing things you said you’d never give or do and you don’t truly feel good about it.

Here’s my thought: love may be unconditional but relationships aren’t.
Just because someone loves you unconditionally doesn’t mean you will meet each other’s conditions for a relationship.
Unconditional love is being unconditionally committed to someone’s well-being which is different than meeting the conditions required to make a relationship work.
