My video for “Love You Anyway” is out everywhere for your eyes and ears and hearts ☺️. The finger pointing, the tug of war, and the polarization of this country has been tearing me apart. I’ve felt alienated from friends and family, and I’ve been pushed away by people I love, and it hurts. I have found that the only way to heal is through true, empathic dialogue – listening to each others’ struggles and fears and where they’re coming from.
The world is not as dichotomous or black and white as it sometimes feels; it’s deeply complicated and full of trauma and history. To me, real love is the action of trying to understand, and I feel that is what we need in this moment, more than ever ❤️🙏🏾

Thank you to my producer @jeremylutito, and to @jonathansmalt, @themaureenmurphy, @emoniwilkins, and @nickienew, @giderplayer, @nealhpogue and @taylor_thomas_thompson for diving down all the rabbit holes to find this beautiful, more piano-forward version of Love You Anyway – “Take 2.”
For the “Stripped” version, I wanted to focus more on guitars and creating a world with my electric. I love the vulnerability of this version, and there’s even a little guitar solo 🥰 Thank you to @jonathansmalt and @timbruns for pouring your heart into this with me. They’re out now.
