Trans rights do not affect anyone else’s rights. Trans people have been using gendered space like public toilets and gym changing rooms for decades without issues 🏳️⚧️🌟

Who has been watching @sexeducation on @netflixuk? It has been such a pleasure to consult on trans storylines for this final season (and for S3).
Seeing yourself reflected on screen is empowering —and authentic representation is so important 🏳️⚧️🌟🏳️🌈
CW: Suicide —
I balled my eyes out watching this season, because the trans storylines were created by trans consultants, a trans writer and trans actors — and mostly because Shay (who was consulting alongside me) died by suicide. The 5th episode, written by trans icon @krishnaistha was dedicated to Shay.
A little Easter egg in the series is this very brief look at Cal’s tablet which has real life trans peeps, including the writer, @cjthesane @rentrntrnt, @xzandj and myself.
Hope you enjoy the show, especially knowing the lengths they went through to make each storyline and character real. It’s amazing to see couples like my partner @uglastefania and I, and so many others, represented on a show like this, which the actors breathed so much depth, joy and humour into.

Bi people, like myself, aren’t being greedy – and today is a great day for a cake pun. I’ll have my cake and eat it, thank you very much 🏳️🌈🌟 Proud to be 100% bi – How do you identify?

It’s more vital than ever to stand beside our trans siblings. Here are a few actionable steps you can take:
1️⃣ Challenge Everyday Transphobia: It can take many forms – from offensive jokes to discriminatory practices. Don’t let it slide. Speak up, educate, and set an example.
2️⃣ Join Protests: Stand in solidarity at rallies and protests. Make your voice heard and show your support for trans rights visibly and actively.
3️⃣ Respect Pronouns: It’s simple yet so powerful. Use the correct pronouns — it’s a basic sign of respect and recognition of a person’s identity.
4️⃣ Write to Your MP: Ask them about their stance on trans rights. Urge them to support legislation that protects and uplifts the trans community.
5️⃣ Don’t ‘Out’ People: Respect the privacy of trans people. It’s not your place to disclose someone’s trans status unless they have given you explicit permission.
6️⃣ Never Assume: Gender identity can’t be determined by how someone looks or sounds. Don’t make assumptions — ask and respect their self-identification.
Remember, being an ally involves continuous learning and understanding. Let’s create a world that respects and celebrates diversity in all its beauty 🏳️⚧️🌟

Remember, both fungi and people thrive best when allowed to grow freely. 🍄🌱
At the end of the day, we’re all just spores on this Earth, trying to find our place under the sun. ☀️
Let’s cap off discrimination and let love grow. We won’t truffle with bigotry, instead, let’s button up against intolerance. There’s so mushroom in our hearts for everyone. 💜

Defining womanhood isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience. It’s nuanced, diverse, and unique to each individual. For some, the journey to womanhood involves transitioning, but this doesn’t put a caveat on their identity. Trans women are women.
They deserve to be included in all spaces meant for women, including panels, shortlists, refuges and all NHS services. Let’s challenge transphobia and make our feminism inclusive of all women. 💜

Trans Liberation Now 🏳️⚧️🌟
Let’s talk about something close to our hearts – supporting our trans siblings in the UK. It’s not about charity; it’s about equality, respect, and love. 💕
Understanding is the first step. Educate yourself about trans issues. 📚 Listen to their experiences, because every story matters. 🗣️
Remember, it’s not just about using the right pronouns. It’s about seeing people for who they truly are. 🌟
Donate to trans support organisations. They need our help to continue the amazing work they do.
Stand against transphobia. Challenge it when you see it. We’ve got to fight hate with love. ❤️
Finally, remember, no one is free until everyone is free. Let’s stand together for trans liberation now. 💪
Spread the word, spread the love!

As just one trans and queer voice in this vibrant LGBTQIA+ tapestry, I want to remind each of us that ‘tomorrow needs you today’.
Life may present us with challenging mountains to climb, but remember, your strength is limitless and your existence, irreplaceable.
Every one of us deserves to find happiness, comfort, and acceptance in our own skin.
So let’s continue to uplift, support, and love one another because your story isn’t over yet.

Everyone has the inherent right to pursue their passion for sports regardless of their gender expression. According to a survey by Outsport , it is disheartening to see that more than half of transgender people have given up their favorite sport because of prejudice against their gender.
Sport is an important part of life, not only for physical fitness but also for mental well-being and the development of social relationships. But a survey by Sport England shows that 64% of our non-cycling colleagues don’t get enough exercise to stay healthy. Over 40% consciously avoid the gym, sports clubs and social play clubs.
The exclusionary practices prevalent in our society have a profound effect on the physical and mental health of transgender and non-binary people.
At the highest level of competition, a woefully long list of sports, including swimming, diving, water polo, high altitude diving and open water swimming, prevents trans women from participating no way This policy put in place by FINA is the most comprehensive ban on trans people participating in professional sports ever recorded.
Echoing the words of pro-athlete @thechrismosier , such policies show a lack of confidence in the abilities of female athletes and ignore the body diversity of cisgender women, who like everyone else have their own height, weight, strength , speed and agility.
Let’s break down these barriers! Let Trans People Play 🏳️⚧️⚧️🌟
Trans masculine and non-binary people can have periods too, not just cis women 🏳️⚧️🩸This fact does not take away from anyone else’s experience or identity.
