BREAK THE SILENCE ON MENTAL HEALTH‼️
Mental illness affects one in four people worldwide, making it more common than we think. The reason why Aryaan’s role was something I took upon was to break the stigma surrounding mental illness. Through Aryaan’s lens you see that going through depression, anxiety and anger management is a battle you fight everyday, and it gets harder with the constant reminders society throws at you, but the strongest people are those who win battles. According to WHO, 10-16% of the general population in Pakistan suffers from mild to moderate psychiatric illness in addition to 1% suffering from severe mental illnesses and 24 million people in Pakistan are in need of psychiatric assistance. Seeking support from mental health professionals can make a significant difference in recovering from these challenges. You are NOT alone on this journey. Many people face similar struggles and mental health conditions manifest in many ways, unique to each person but together we can foster a sense of belonging and support one another. Communication is key!
This was Aryaan’s story. Let’s share our stories, be it triumphs or struggles. By normalising these conversations we can uplift those going through tough times and show them that there is strength in vulnerability. Forget ‘loug Kya kahengay’ and let’s stand together, embrace mental health and build a society where everyone feels supported and understood. Together, we can break the barriers and pave the way to live in a world of ‘Jhoom’ – one that ends happily 💫

P.s. It is extremely important to remember that while you seek medical help, the real cure is found in the 5 daily prayers, daily adhkar and dua’s prescribed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Undoubtedly, the cure of every disease and trouble is in the hands of ALLAH, and there is none except him who can remove it.
I shall support each of you in these times of difficulties through my prayers and continued efforts of spreading as much awareness as I truly can 🫶🏻💫
