Jim Baird Instagram – This is one of about 20 Pronghorn Antelope that @torigoesoutside and I saw as we drove across Canada’s southern planes. They’re colloquially called antelopes however the pronghorn’s closest living relatives are the giraffe and okapi. Having evolved to outrun the now-extinct American Cheetah, the Pronghorn is the second fastest animal in the world next to modern day Cheetahs which range across most of Africa.
