Apparently there’s some sort of event happening at Exhibition Centre Liverpool. I couldn’t get in, so I’m not sure what it was. Oh, well. Off to Gloucestershire.
With my daughter Madeline in the Casa Loma library room where I shot the ballroom scenes for Guillermo del Toro’s CRIMSON PEAK in 2014. Same books.
This was taken on my birthday. Today is his, his 92nd. Happy birthday, my excellent and well-approved good master, James Earl Jones.

One of the unmentioned pleasures of location filming: Seeing old friends after too long a time. With Pete Parkin in Albuquerque.
My baby sister Teddlie. Two years gone. Hard to believe. Always in my heart.
Wish I’d seen this earlier.
Beautiful house. Whose is it? Some of you will know.
I told her how hard I fell for her in THE BALLAD OF CABLE HOGUE (one of my very favorite movies), and she kissed me. That pretty much made all the other junk in my life worthwhile. RIP Hildy. #StellaStevens (And thanks, Walter Hill, for the introduction!)
Last September made 50 years this man’s been my friend and brother. Today makes some 500 years he’s been alive. Happy birthday, Tom Allard.
A couple of workplace views today.

Uh-oh. This can’t be good.
Even nine lives won’t get you past this place.
My first day on my erstwhile series B Positive, I saw Annaleigh Ashford work and told her I thought she was the reincarnation of Judy Holliday. I still think so. Now I see she’s doing a biopic of Holliday, entitled Smart Blonde. I can’t wait. Oh, and Annaleigh is sweeter than just about anybody, so she’s got that going for her, too.
I don’t have a personal manager or a business manager. That means that sy.mary_s.ylvia isn’t either one of those things, even though she is apparently telling people she is. Just fyi.
Here’s a familiar threesome: Michael Caine, Shelley Winters, and Benedict Arnold. I’ve been there, but didn’t see Michael or Shelley. (The crypt is in a church basement, now used as a daycare center. You have to move the Lego chest to see the inscription.)
The other day was the 96th birthday of Phyllis Coates, who starred as Lois Lane in the first season of Adventures of Superman airing initially in 1952. I am trying to think if there is anyone older than she who was a series regular on a TV series in the 50s, who is still alive. There may well be, but I cannot think of who it would be.
