We are praying constantly for all those who are caught up in this war. Today we stood together in solidarity against antisemitism, and every form of racism and hatred.

Hospitals and patients in Gaza are facing catastrophe.
I appeal for the evacuation order on hospitals in northern Gaza to be reversed – and for health facilities, health workers, patients and civilians to be protected.
The war in Israel and Gaza cannot be allowed to sow antisemitism, hatred and prejudice in the UK.
This morning at Lambeth Palace I was joined by Sheikh Ibrahim Mogra and Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg to call for solidarity in our communities.
Sheikh Ibrahim and Rabbi Wittenberg spoke for their own communities and networks, of their deep pain for what is happening in Israel and Gaza and the sharp rise in antisemitism in the UK, but also of the comfort they have found in friendship forged across religious difference.
I pray that we remain united against all forms of discrimination.

The Church is the body of Christ – we belong to one another and share each others’ burdens.
As we gathered to worship at St Wilfrid’s in @CofEPortsmouth this morning, we remembered our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land, and prayed for all God’s children caught up in war. St Wilfrid’s Cowplain

As Christians our first action in the face of war, terror and hatred is to pray to the God of justice, mercy and peace.
Tomorrow, the Church in the Holy Land – including our Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem – is inviting Christians around the world to join in a day of fasting and prayer. Please join us in praying for all the people of the Holy Land.
From churches to care homes, schools to naval ships, @thechurchofengland loves and serves people across the country.
This weekend I’m visiting @CofEPortsmouth to join in with sharing the love of God – starting today on the Isle of Wight.
It was good to meet so many teachers and students at Christ the King College this morning. The secondary school is a joint Church of England and Catholic venture, and it’s heartwarming to see children taught in an ecumenical space from the age of eleven, when they’re beginning to think about how they can make their mark on the world. I pray that these pupils grow to become agents of reconciliation across all kinds of borders in their local community and beyond.
@thebayceschool is also doing great work in inspiring and educating children from the age of 4 all the way to 18. The school choir is hugely talented, and I was honoured to bless their school and speak to staff. I was asked brilliant questions by primary and secondary students – already probing deep questions of faith, scripture and the witness of the church. Honesty is so healthy for us all as we grow in relationship with God.
This evening I visited Holy Trinity Bembridge, where we shared together about following Jesus through times of joy and sorrow. It was good to sing together, pray together and encourage one another. A full day, but one full of inspiration and hope for current and future generations on the Isle of Wight.

Grateful to spend more time today with clergy, congregations and chaplains in @CofEPortsmouth – sharing stories of the difference that Jesus makes, and seeing how they love and serve their communities.
Chaplains do such profoundly important work – often unseen – across the country. It was so good to see the work of prison chaplains at HMP Isle of Wight, and naval chaplains onboard HMS Victory. Please pray for them and those they serve.
And I really appreciated visiting churches in Southsea – St Margaret’s and @StLukesSouthsea – to see how they are reaching out to their communities in creative ways, and offering people the opportunity to encounter the God who loves them.
