Magic Johnson Instagram – I’m so excited to announce that we acquired Atlanta Life Insurance Company! I am honored to continue the rich history of this organization and the legacy of Founder Alonzo Herndon. We share so many of the same values and his life story is incredible! He was born into slavery and became the first Black millionaire in Atlanta, Georgia. He started with barbershops and his real estate portfolio and went on to build the largest Black-owned Insurance company in the country! Alonzo Herndon was about dreaming big, investing in the Black community, and building sustainable Black businesses. The foundation of his company lines up perfectly with my brand and is a great fit into my portfolio. I want to thank my business partner Eric Holoman and Executive Vice President Ryan Smith who will be in charge of all day-to-day business for Atlanta Life Insurance Company and leading this process. A special thank you to my great friends John and Vicki Palmer for all you did to make yesterday’s event a huge success.
