Back to my roots… It seems, I can never escape this job 🧹😢 Sometimes I ask myself, did my prior janitorial duties play a roll in my ascent to Worlds Strongest Man? Will this maybe help me refine sumo techniques? Maybe we’ll never know. But the sweeping, must go on.

No place like California for me. Absolutely love living here! Even more so, I’m loving how my body is feeling. I’m currently lifting 4x a week and hitting Jiu Jitsu 3x a week. My aim with lifting is speed and technique with no pain (a slow and steady approach)… and then using JJ to keep my conditioning and work capacity progressing. The way it’s been forcing me to use my hips in guard is unlike anything I can replicate in the gym, and my hips are feeling the best they have been in 5 years because of it. It’s exciting to try this new approach and to see where this journey will take me 👊 Sun glasses and shoes by @tyrsport
日本の力石はすごいです! Our first full Day in Japan filming for “Strength Unknown” couldn’t be more eventful and fulfilling 🙌 The lifting stones they have are on another level. With more then ten thousand historic stones accounted for, many with ancient engravings denoting successful lifters of said stones, I am left wondering, just how extensive was their stone lifting culture? Why did such an intense passion for stone lifting fade? What other surprises does this country hold in strength history? Well, thanks to these shrines that still honor these precious stones, we can get a little glimpse back in time, to a Japan that made the earth quake with a zest for hoisting rock and mastering strength. Thank you so much for having us and allowing us to give these lifts a go!
