SLEEPING DOGS is a series directed by Stephan Lacant (episodes: 1-3) and Francis Meletzky (episodes: 4-6) exclusively for Netflix. It stars Max Riemelt as Mike Atlas and Luise von Finckh as Jule Andergast, as well as Carlo Ljubek as Luka Zaric, Peri Baumeister as Lenni Atlas, Antonio Wannek as Roland Sokowski and Melodie Wakivuamina as Britney Adebayo. Other roles are played by Melika Foroutan, Helgi Schmid,Tara Africah Corrigan, Luna Jordan, Bernd Hoelscher and Martin Wuttke.
The storyline of SLEEPING DOGS (book: Christoph Darnstaedt) is based on the original series “The Exchange Principle”. The series is about a fallen top cop and an up-and-coming young prosecutor who, for different motives, open a closed murder file – and with it Pandora’s box. Both get caught in the bloody trail of a conspiracy that seems to lead deeper and deeper into the police and justice system. Or is it all connected to a terrorist attack that shook the city a year and a half ago?
Following the internationally successful and award-winning series Unorthodox, SLEEPING DOGS is the second collaboration between Real Film Berlin and Netflix.
