Max Riemelt Instagram – On January 7, 2016, LICHTGESTALTEN (ICONS OF LIGHT) celebrated its cinema premiere in Germany. Now the movie will be shown for the first time in Cambodia.
On March 21 and March 28, the Institut français du Cambodge will present the film in the presence of director and producer Christian Moris Müller.

LICHTGESTALTEN is the story of Katharina (Theresa Scholze) and Steffen (Max Riemelt). They are an up-and-coming Berlin couple, have good jobs, a loving relationship and an attic apartment on two floors. But the two long to escape the golden cage of their lives. One night, they decide to take a radical step: they will destroy any signs of their existence in order to start over somewhere else.
The two set up a camera to film their act, hoping that others will follow them. They begin destroying their property, closing bank accounts and erasing their digital tracks. They also try to hide the fact that they will disappear forever from their best friends Robert and Paul.
