Back in 2021 when news spread that @shahidkapoor will be doing a web series, it was touted as a bold move especially for an actor who had recently enjoyed his biggest theatrical success. For him embracing OTT was “an obvious, simple choice” and one that he took much before the pandemic wreaked havoc. Says Shahid, “For me it was as simple as if Mathew McConaughey can do a True Detective after winning an Oscar, then why are we making such a big deal? If I am watching it [OTT content] so much, then why am I not doing it? If I am inspired and the content is good, wherever it comes out the audience will feel that and enjoy it.”
