Today we are celebrating my grandad’s 90th birthday. All the family got together at the weekend, which itself was a rare, magic moment, but it was made even more special when, just before leaving, the birthday boy himself sat down at the piano and gave us a song. Whether or not he chose to play “As Time Goes By” intentionally or not, he couldn’t have picked a more appropriate song. It had Nan dancing and us all gathered around the piano. Happy birthday grandad. X

Congrats to our friends @busted on completing their mammoth 20th anniversary tour. Other than McFLY (of course), no band has had greater impact on my life than Busted. Today is my mum’s birthday. My mum, who hates having her photo taken. So, even though she let me take a selfie with her tonight (in which she looks lovely), I won’t embarrass her by posting a photo. Instead, here she is represented by a cupcake (made by @desserts_cakes_bylou). Happy birthday mum! You are the greatest. Full stop. X
