Brenda Strong Instagram – #unity is a powerful word. It’s a word implicit in the name of our country. We all have witnessed what happens when that unity is threatened. As a yoga teacher I learned that the illusion is that there is a separation between mind, body and spirit, and the practice of yoga removes the obstacles that impede our perception of the truth. The truth is there is no separation. The same applys to actors and writers. We are intrinsically interdependant. I stand in #unity with our brothers and sisters in the Writers Guild as they return to the table. Just know without your words and stories, we have nothing to embody. It is our job to illuminate the human condition and through the ‘empathy church’ as my husband @jfbnyla calls it, of movies and television, we come to see ourselves and each other more clearly. AI is the opposite of humanity, and we must preserve our connection to the humans who are telling new stories.
