Hayley Kiyoko Instagram – Community is everything. For a long time my queerness dominated my capacity for identity. As I’ve gotten older there’s been a gaping hole and yearn to reconnect to my Asian culture and community. Growing up bi racial it was always hard to navigate where I ‘belonged’. I reached out to @allymaki about wanting to collab with @asianamericangirlclub to celebrate Girls Like Girls. We discussed how ‘Coley’ wears a Jean jacket and how epic it would be to get @levis to host the event. One week later everyone was on board and this magical event happened 1 month later. @allymaki thank you for creating @asianamericangirlclub, such an incredible space for people like myself to find and celebrate their community. And thank you to the amazing team at AAGC who made this happen so flawlessly. @shrrycola thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing what the novel meant to you.
