Hilarie Burton Instagram – With all the craziness of yesterday’s show and the meet and greet after (that raised so much money for our local PTSO!!! Thank you endlessly!!!), I didn’t get to post Day 8 of my favorite witchy creatives. So I’m doubling up today, which makes perfect sense because I have a husband and wife team that I really want to bring to your attention! I met Samantha and Drew Miller when our kids started doing karate together. I was pregnant with George and I loved the dynamic between their son and daughter. And I was pumped to have that in my own life. I found out very quickly that @drewmillerart was a really accomplished artist who was creating portraits of people I knew and loved in our town. He surprised me with a portrait of my kids a few years ago and some of you may remember when I posted those pictures! I love love love this drawing of my children right after Easter service. It’s a memory that we’ll get to keep forever! He does commission work, and so if you were looking for a really meaningful gift for a loved one? This is your guy! New babies? A proposal? The loss of a loved one? I just can’t say enough about having pieces of art like this in your home. Now, Samantha uses her art very differently! She is a total mama bear and has the innate instinct to take care of everyone around her. She gave me a couple samples of her @woodsandmeadow CBD Products some years back, and I have been a dedicated customer ever since! Yesterday a lot of people mentioned that I had been in stilettos all day long and that is a sound endorsement for the salves and roll-ons that Sam makes!!! No pain, my friends! My dream is to collaborate with her to make Mischief specific products. But in the meantime, please go to her site and treat yourself and your loved ones with products that I can honestly tell you work wonders. I had bad knees for years and Samantha fixed me right up! So that’s day eight and day nine together! Please give them both a follow and consider them as we go into the holiday season. I love these magic makers!
Hilarie Burton Instagram – You guys. I didn’t post Day 11 of creatives because honestly I was just too overwhelmed. I had rushed the entire day getting ready to be on the road all weekend. Show tonight in Boston. Show on Saturday in Virginia. There’s laundry. Unpacking from last week in the city. Packing right back up again. Gus had theater. Dinner had to be made. The back-and-forth from the farm to town seemed endless. And then I got a text message from my team. “Can you talk?” Katy Hamilton is my editor at @harperonebooks . She FaceTimed me with @ajmattero – my book agent at @creativeartistsagency – and @lizzy5445 . “It’s an instant @nytimes bestseller!” they told me. I had trouble taking it in. This book had taken me years to write. I experienced so much loss during the process. I experienced so much life during the process! How do you quantify something like that? Instant Bestseller. This team put up with me pushing deadlines for YEARS. They knew I wanted @oliviafaust.art ‘s artwork, so they made that happen. They knew I wanted @beacontintype to shoot the cover. They knew I needed the book to feel timeless, so we collaborated on colors and paper and artwork for all the nooks and crannies of this book. It was labor intensive! And nowhere in this entire process did anyone make me feel crazy. At no point did anyone say “it’s just a book, Hil. Calm down.” This team was so generous and such a safe space for me to work. They made this book a work of art. 🌸 So to the nurturing and lovely teams at @harperonebooks and @creativeartistsagency and @authenticmgmt …. You guys did it. This instant bestseller is yours too. I cried big fat tears in my messy kitchen once I got off the call. Thank you to everyone who has gone on this magical journey with us and purchased #grimoiregirl . I am just overcome with gratitude. 🔮 (Y’all for real! I’m up there with @oprah !!! Eleven year old me is DYING. )
