Hilarie Burton Instagram – Anniversary date gives me an excuse to highlight Day 5 of artists making the world a more magical place! Years ago, @jeffreydeanmorgan and I wandered into @chasecontemporary gallery here in NYC. We’ve always been art gallery dwellers. That was one of our first dates in Santa Fe…hopping from gallery to gallery across the square. We have hit up galleries in London and Barcelona and Rhinebeck and little tiny small towns across America. Like moths to a flame. Chase Contemporary Gallery always had pieces in the window that stopped us in our tracks. What I love about this gallery is how inclusive they have been to our children. Every time we go in there, the owners make a point of introducing our kids to the artists and asking them real questions about their interests and what they like about the exhibits. I’m so grateful that they are nurturing an appreciation for art in my kids. Last year for our anniversary Jeffrey surprise me with this @connorbrothersofficial piece that I’m obsessed with. This year, to celebrate my book, he came home with these two fabulous book covers from the same artists. As luck should have it, the gallery was hosting a party for its current artist in residence… @lilblackgoat . Logan Sylve is such a talent, and we loved discussing his background of growing up in Louisiana and learning about his current adventures in Paris. I love his use of color and some of the mischievous toothy grins in his paintings. George became obsessed with this giraffe painting! Places like this nurture young artists and so we love visiting every chance we get. I hope that you guys give them a follow and then find galleries in your own town to support. Thank you guys for a magical date night. The Morgans had a blast.
