Hilarie Burton Instagram – Been in the car for over 10 hours. Traffic was not on my side today. But! It didn’t even matter. Yesterday, being with @ahoffmanwriter was the stuff of daydreams. Finding out how much we have in common was really fun. I called my husband afterward and just gushed about how happy I was. Alice’s books mean a great deal to me. They gave me a model for the kind of woman I wanted to become. They showcased female friendships in a way that has absolutely imprinted on the real life relationships I’ve built. Sitting with her and making big plans for future ideas makes me really excited for what’s to come. But tomorrow, I go backward. I’m doing a book tour event at @park.viewhs.ptsa . I get to walk the same hallways that I did as a teenager. I’m gonna go stand on the same stage that I did as a third grader doing theater for the very first time. And I’m probably gonna cry. Most definitely going to cry. Thank you to everyone who is making this little journey to all of my old homes so memorable and fulfilling. And thank you to Alice. Your words have been a different kind of home. But the woman behind the words is more exciting than I could’ve anticipated. Xoxoxo
