This National Handloom Day offers a moment to reflect and acknowledge an important part of India’s culture – a truly unique offering which is intrinsically linked to the daily life of millions across the country. With respect for this, the short film documents the people of Dhanau, District Barmer, Rajasthan.
Without dialogue or narration, the visuals relay truths of being by capturing moments of togetherness, solitude and the process of making on the loom.
We envision this short film to be a powerful insight to people and a community, reflective of millions across India.
