Clearly, the AMPTP is willing to starve out the very people that have worked beside them for years and made their projects come to life. For some people, they have already lost their homes and struggle to feed their kids. The money is there, it’s just sitting in bank accounts to earn interest. Producers are important, but it is unethical to sit on billions while your employees work tirelessly and are not paid fair wages. That is in any industry. In America we bow down to the all mighty shareholders, but this model is proving to be ineffective and needs to be changed. Employees deserve the first piece of the pie before shareholders. This can only be done through fair wages and artists being compensated based on what their creations have earned the company on the market. I pray we can reach a deal soon. I love this job. I love creating, but it’s become extremely difficult since I started working in 2007.
