Lindsay Mendez Instagram – This is Miss Kathy. She was my very first dance teacher ever, and the first person to ever believe in me as a performer. When I was four, my mother came into her studio and said, please give private lessons to my 4 year old daughter. Kathy said, “I don’t teach kids that young” and my mom said, “But my daughter is special.” And …whether or not she was right, Kathy took a chance on me and taught me to absolutely love this art form. To have her come to see me in Broadway shows now is just, the most surreal experience.
