“Eat It Up”: The Prologue
As the days pass, I hear the pink train moving closer. Mother always warned me about this. Since the day those two perriots drove me and mother to the farm, things have been getting stranger. They wouldn’t tell me why we had to leave the circus. All I do is think about it. It’s quite peaceful here though, I love the cows the most. Sometimes I can hear their thoughts while they watch me sob endlessly in the field. Maybe the isolation has been getting to my head. I have this unshakable feeling inside and the way mother speaks to me lately is like she’s preparing me for something, or somewhere. I keep hearing her talk to someone on the phone about a “blood buffet” and “goddamn initiation”. All I know is, if that pink train is coming for me, they better find me something else to eat besides eggs and milk.
