Meaghan B. Murphy Instagram – #ad |I’m shining brighter than ever almost one year after my preventative double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Getting to walk with the @naturesbounty team at the @susangkomen Race for the Cure as a #previvor was incredibly emotional. Just a year ago, I was channeling a T-rex 🦖 unable to raise my arms. I shuffled down the block with 4 drains tucked inside my sweatpants. As I bounced through Central Park on Sunday in a sea of pink, I burst into tears. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. I GOT to take charge of my breast health proactively, unlike my mom and unlike so many of the survivors and women living with metastatic breast cancer on the walk with me. Thank you, Science! And thank you Susan G. Komen for your commitment to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease with advances in research, care, and advocacy.
