I had to relearn my body after a proactive double mastectomy and reconstruction. As a #previvor, I’ve also struggled to reconcile my place in the breast cancer community. I GOT to decide; my body didn’t decide for me. When you think about the stats—every 12 minutes, one woman in the United States will lose her life to breast cancer—I can’t help but feel truly overwhelmed with gratitude and relief.
