Milla Jovovich Instagram – Thank you @purplefashionmagazine and @ozpurple for an amazing new story in your 40th issue! It’s really interesting, because I cut my hair to get re inspired with myself to prepare for a new film (which obviously got pushed because of the strike). Though we didn’t end up shooting this year, I’ve loved the journey it’s taken me on and the different evolutions that it’s going through and it will continue to morph into by the time we end up starting production. I went for something extreme because I felt it was necessary to break out of “beauty mode” and what’s “normal”. It’s pushed me to re invent my personal style and see myself in a light that isn’t skewed by typical vanity. This has been incredibly liberating, as well as challenging, but I’ve loved the process. I’ve always felt that as an artist, I shouldn’t be caught up always “looking pretty” and I think that’s defined me in many of the stylistic choices I’ve made in my films. I’m so happy that this journey has been documented in such a rad way by the incredible team (listed below) who made it happen! Milla Jovovich Instagram – So here’s the moment no one’s been waiting for. But I finally got some of my favorite shots from our trip to #venicefilmfestival for @amfar! Warning, I might add a few in the next couple of days as stand alones, but this is the main dump. We swept across the canals in boats, took gondola rides with our kids for the first time and ate some insanely amazing food along the way. We stopped at the @guggenheim_venice which was truly the highlight of the trip. To see my kids so intrigued and inspired by all the post modern art completely justified them missing their first day of school. I’m a true believer that real like experience trumps anything you read in a textbook and to have my 8 year old tell me that her favorite paintings were made by Tanguy was a pivotal point in my parenting journey. It was truly unforgettable on so many levels. So I’ll shut up now and let you swipe to experience the beauty of Venice. Enjoy!
