I’m a fan already! #wabkinew #indigenouswisdom #indigenousleadership Repost from @endangeredecosystemsalliance • In the Manitoba election yesterday, the NDP trounced the previous Conservative government, and have promised to protect 30% by 2030 of the province’s land area (in line with Canada’s national/ international commitment, which the previous Conservative government wouldn’t commit to). So now Manitoba, BC and Quebec are the provinces that are supporting the federal protected areas target – with the other provinces so far being conservation laggards (although Nova Scotia is making some significant progress in some areas too).
