Gefen Kaminer is a young actress and artist I’ve been honored to work with last year. On 7.10.23 her uncle Shmulik Weis was murdered in the massacre in kibbutz Be’eri and her aunt Judith was abducted to Gaza. Shmulik’s funeral was held today. Their son, Daniel, and his cousin Gefen sang Shmulik’s favorite song in his memory. This is by far the most sickening thing I’ve read so far. An art world that prides it self on antisemitism is beyond disgusting. Yes, Palestinian lives matter, Jewish lives matter too. Not condemning and completely ignoring a barbaric medieval-like massacre of innocent civilians, entire families that were burned alive, women being brutally raped, babies and children tied together, tortured to death. Burned. Beheaded. What does your ceasefire demand mean without any regard of 200 kidnapped, including women and children? It’s beyond gaslighting. It’s a despicable form of genocide inversion, akin to Holocaust denial. SHAME
