Polina Pushkareva Instagram – The reality of fashion-week from the POV of a PR agent/How I see the reality of fashion week as a PR agent
Now I’m at the fashion week in Paris together with my 6 social media clients. And 3 of them are participants of the summer social media camp.
All these influencers are beginners in this industry, and that is their first fashion week ever. Despite the fact that these guys have been managing their socials for only 2-6 months. For influencers, and especially fashion influencers, it is really important to participate in fashion weeks.
Why?
1. You get press, get shot in street style, attend and show yourself at events. Your photos end up to be published in Vogue, Elle Girl, etc. = you get good PR.
2. You create content. When you post content from a fashion week, your reach boosts because everyone is interested and everyone is watching.
3. You get to know new people and pave your way to paid collaborations. Most brands don’t pay influencers at fashion weeks. Usually they just provide clothes and invitations, and influencers agree to work just for getting it. But the funny point is that when you’ve already collaborated with Dior, H&M is ready to pay you more just because you have a cool personal brand.
What do I do as a PR agent?
Every night I prepare a plan for the day for each client (swipe left to check it out). There they can find a schedule of shows and who will attend them. My recommendations on which people to get to know, which photographer to pose for, how to get to know a brand and what to say in an interview + I provide them with a content plan with trendy topics for TikTok and Instagram.
P.S. But I also have an additional task – to see how large and mid-sized brands organize shows and events. And then I can use this information to present my own brand, which I hope y’all are really looking forward to 💅 Paris, France | Posted on 02/Oct/2023 15:53:25
