my dad grew up in a teeny tiny village in the highland plains of northern china along the yellow river. he saw his first moving vehicle when he was 14 and chased it up the mountain cuz he had never seen anything like it before. he tested into one of china’s top universities when he was 16, received a PhD, emigrated to minnesota, got a SECOND PhD cuz his first one from china wasn’t recognized here :/, got an entry level engineering job ……and now he is the recipient of an ENGINEERING OSCAR!!!!!!!! 🤩
