Thank you to my sweet boy Iah, for giving me the opportunity to be your mama. I’m not gonna sugarcoat it because this year has been so hard. Between giving birth and looking after a newborn while moving… TWICE, having to help my in pain baby boy with gut issues that I knew weren’t normal, dealing with PPA, all while completing my Bachelors Degree, auditioning and breastfeeding, well… it’s taken a lot out of me. (Shout out to @kariospeedwagon for being my partner in it all.) You have given me perspective, and although I didn’t know ANYTHING about babies (including the fact that they couldn’t have water for 6 months!?) I am grateful to have you as my teacher. I love you more than I can handle, I love you so much it hurts. You are my everything and more. To all the mamas out there, to all who are trying to be mamas and to all who couldn’t be mamas, Happy Mother’s Day! 🤍🧿

37. My 1st birthday as a Mother. Had a baby! Bought a home in LA with my new little family @kariospeedwagon Travelled on a 16hr flight to Dubai for baby’s first trip and survived. Completed my Bachelors Degree after a hiatus of 17yrs. Made a career pivot and started my Masters Degree in Directing @americanfilminstitute A year so full I thought it was several 🫶🏾✨🌙
