Sanjana Doss Instagram – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – practising for this particular event has been one of the most wholesome, rewarding experiences I’ve had in a while. Immersing myself in all the stories, re-learning the basics of how to express myself through my body better, the “happy pain” in my glutes/hamstrings the day after a hectic practise session. All this and of course, sharing the stage with one of the most important individuals in my life – my Uncle and my Guru, @madurasanjay sir.
It’s honestly been so fun and surreal.
Every time I find myself seeking home-base or a solid grounding station, dance always shows up to catch me. It offers me a space to shed all my ego as an artist, merge with the present and take control of the time and space around me.
Thank you @madurasanjay sir for constantly grounding and nurturing me. You’ve always believed in me and allowed me to explore all sides of my artistic self. I’m so thankful to have you in my life.
Thank you @winikays for being the best mentor and friend through this process. You weren’t shy to call me out on all my shortcomings as a dancer and you did It with nothing but love and patience. You made me want to push myself a lot harder 🤍
