I am so inspired by the remarkable life story & philanthropic work done by @dr.achyutasamanta who has truly been a beacon of hope and empowered thousands of children. I urge you to read about him. I had the opportunity to spend time at The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) @kissfoundation in Bhubaneshwar which is the largest tribal residential school in the world, providing free education, accommodation, and holistic development to underprivileged tribal children started by Dr Samant. It empowers students through quality education and nurtures their talents, aiming to break the cycle of poverty and promote social inclusion. Some of the best players competing in different sports are from this institute and I was amazed to see the remarkable facilities available to them for their over all growth . Dr Samanta’s story is a testament to human courage & determination to bring about change . Growing up in extreme poverty , he changed the course of his life and went on to build several educational institutes . I had the opportunity to interact with the students and also got a sense of their education program especially for indigenous students which is so well structured without alienating them from their own culture . My parents were here early this year and ever since they told me about their experience , I couldn’t wait to know more . Thank you so much to the team , faculty and Samanta Sir.
