„Improvisation On Four Sequences“ by @sevwave somehow represents the complete history of electronic music, as the enthusiastic audience at @week_end_fest 2021 were lucky enough to experience. The album will be released on Friday, September 15 and is available via @kompaktrecords Distribution on vinyl and in digital format (link in bio). To celebrate the occasion we present a special release event on Thu Sept 14 @inmyroooooom from 19:00 which features a live interview and Q&A with Suzanne Ciani, hosted by @eztrubal_ and @janlankish .

Hello Portland! This Saturday, 5/13, Suzanne Ciani (@sevwave) joins Reflections for a live Buchla performance at the historic First Congregational Church, presented in quadraphonic sound. Tix are on sale now. A bit more about Suzanne: In the late 70s, Suzanne founded Ciani/Musica Inc. to bring her synth experiments to more commercial contexts. Her company flourished (love the branded sweatshirt in the pic!) and evolved how we experience “sound” in the world today. “Ciani is incredibly prolific as a sound designer and composer for video games, commercials, film, television—basically any medium she could get her hands on,” says Insomniac Mag. “She helped create some foundational sounds in pop culture, like that of an old GE dishwasher or the classic fizzy noise of a Coke being poured into a glass. You can hear them crisply in your head in hyperreal detail. That’s Ciani: audio chameleon and polymath.” Come experience Suzanne, along with our hand-picked openers from @leavingrecords, all accompanied by a projection-mapped light show.
