Vanessa Evigan Instagram – I know this may sound crazy to some, but any parents that struggle to get their picky eaters to eat anything let alone healthy foods, this felt like a major win for me today. Eating greens straight out of the garden, I haven’t felt this excited in a very long time. I felt like I won the lottery in some strange way. Food causes me a lot of anxiety in our home. I worry all the time that my kids aren’t getting enough nutrients. When I saw my daughter pick a handful of greens and eat them while dirt fell off the leaves , my first thought was “gosh she really should wash those first” then I stopped myself and just sat in that moment with her, watching her LOVE what she was eating. I thought to myself God made dirt, and dirt don’t hurt. I didn’t want to take her out of that amazing moment where she was tasting something new and so healthy for the first time.
