Life has got beautiful surprises, right? I thought I was going to do a deep dive into @_hineighbour and climate change but actually this conversation is a recording of me falling in love with @joeykellock and @lissieturner I struggled to talk about harder topics because I just wanted to be a Labrador with these two lovies- and also something in me was pulling against anything other than the joyful stuff in front of a Splendour in the Grass audience. My life is so full of responsibility, I haven’t really shook things out at a festival since before our kids were born. And there was a big part of me that just wanted to eat donuts, waft about hopelessly falling for everyone. So here’s to my festival friends Joey and Lissie – I hope we meet again someday. 🍄❤️🍄

Looking for some local inspiration? Look no further than @sewinlove who has transformed her life to work for the energy transformation that will see us move from from fossil fuels to renewables. Her goal was to have the biggest impact in mitigating climate change and for her that meant becoming an Electrical Engineer. She is currently studying at University of Wollongong and has be awarded the Deans Merit List two years running, a huge achievement. Congratulations Rin and thank you for talking with Hi Neighbour. We’ll share more from Rin in the coming weeks as she expands on her excitement about renewable energy and the huge potential she sees for the Illawarra.
