A melanocytic naevus can be present at birth (a congenital melanocytic naevus) or appear later (an acquired naevus).
This Particular patient presented with a congenital melanocytic pedunculated nevus since birth which gradually progressed in size. Sometimes the hair follicles can contain nevus cells. They are very much prone for recurrence if not removed completely. So, here our chief has carefully completely ablated the nevus using radio frequency and made sure to remove the underlying hair follicles too to ensure complete prevention of recurrence.
