Last week was my 1-Year Sober Birthday from alcohol. Today, I am 💯 straight edge with no vices. The last time I had nothing to rely on was in my youth, probably around 14 years old. I’m not saying this is going to be my life forever, but it’s what works for me right now. I know that I am better off without alcohol and weed, but I do miss my vape. RIP Watermelon Ice, I miss you, but my surgery is more important. In some way, I feel as if my surgery saved me from vaping, so now all I do is eat. I love food. Anyway, here’s to another year of sobriety and whatever works FOR YOU. Thanks for sticking with me in my drunken shenanigans throughout the years. I was hiding behind my bottles to avoid my spirit from emerging.

Brenda was the epitome of unconditional love. I absolutely adored this woman, not only for how she raised my best friend, @caralikecareuh, but also for how she accepted all of us exactly as we were. She shared recipes, cracked sharp jokes, and always made us laugh on the phone throughout the years.
